When I visited IIT, Chenai, A Sr Faculty mocked at our Expt on Core Catcher/PFBR.
According to him, the Expt. at Safety Expts Section, IGCAR is not correct.
The Enginer I/C had reduced the size of the Exptl. set up by 1/4 of PFBR Size for convenience. He started Thermal Conductivity Expts. on Core Catcher plate.[The Core Catcher plate is also reduced to 1/4 in Thickness and the Thermal conductivity Epts are going on for 5 yrs.Reducing the thickness of Core Catcher plate for Thermal Expts. is against the priciples of Physics and Metullurgy.
Can anyone Clarify?
