I am currently working in Japan and would like to move back to India, IGCAR being a possible employer. Well, I don't know anything about Kalpakkam. I wondered whether anyone could provide feedback on the following issues:
1. Getting there and away: Is there a taxi service from Kalpakkam to Chennai airport? I read there is one from the airport to Kalpakkam, but not suer of the other way round.
2. Shopping: Are most of the daily necessities available in Kalpakkam..like are there electronics shops or do we need to go to Chennai? Likewise, are travel agents readily available?
3. The Scientist Quarters: How are the residential quarters for Scientists D/E like? Do they have modern amenities like internet access etc.?
I know the list is long, but since I might be coming with a family, wanted to be sure about these things.
