A set of 40 Life Packages consisting of a fibre boat fitted with motor, fishing net and other essentials were distributed to the fishermen of Pudupattinam and Oyyalikuppam near Kalpakkam affected by the 26 December tsunami. The packages were given by 'Save The Family', a tsunami relief programme, dedicated to rebuilding the lives of the affected in the long-term.

The programme was jointly sponsored by International Management Group East (IMGE) Emergency Relief Fund and HOPE Foundation at a function at Kalpakkam yesterday.
