Pleasantly surprised to see this site

Hi Folks.
Nice to see a site on Kalpakkam. I stayed at the sleepy, serene Kalpakkam township from 1996-1998.
I explored the birds in Kalpakkam, visited the gorgeous
late with hordes of birds. Shared the excitement with
Kalpakkamites when Comet Hale-Bopp was visiting us!
Enjoyed the beautiful backwaters and the virgin sea.
Those walks to the Sadras village to have banana pakoras!
Unfortunately, I was kicked out of Kalpakkam on
taking a stand against the Pokhran-2 nuclear tests.
But the sweet memories of the simple people and the
beautiful township remain with me.

Congrats Sabareesh!!

Sabareesh from Kalpakkam has been selected for the DST Award for -

"Participation in the Meeting of Nobel Laureates and Students in Lindau, Germany".

Sabareesh is currently doing his doctorate in IISc Bangalore. He completed his 12th in KV 1 Kalpakkam 1995-'96 batch.

Let us all CONGRATULATE SABAREESH!!.
